How to Prevent Fire of Solar Power Station in Summer
2022-06-17 09:00With the development of the solar industry, thousands of solar power plants are quietly built. According to the experience of photovoltaic developed countries such as Europe, the United States, Japan and China, high temperature in summer will lead to potential fire risks, so fires frequently occur in photovoltaic power plants.
As we all know, the peak power temperature coefficient of general solar panels is between -0.38 and -0.44%/℃. For every 1°C increase in temperature, the output power of photovoltaic modules will decrease by 0.38 to 0.44%, which not only affects the power generation, but also easily induces fire. In addition, the continuous high temperature will not only affect the power generation, but also lead to equipment downtime and high temperature fire in severe cases. The probability of such a situation occurring is low, but it does not preclude the unexpected. How to cool down the solar power station in summer?
1. Both solar panels and solar inverters should be kept ventilated. Generally speaking, in the design of photovoltaic power plants, the brackets are usually raised (except for household tile roof photovoltaic power plants) to ensure that there is enough space for the solar panels to ensure air circulation to achieve the purpose of cooling. The metal frame also has a certain heat dissipation effect.
2.The solar inverter should be shaded. Most of the solar inverters on the market now are generally IP65 rated, with a certain degree of wind, dust and water resistance. However, in summer, the ambient temperature is high, and various components in the solar inverter are prone to high temperature during operation, which will lead to a decrease in power generation efficiency and even affect the life of components. Therefore, the solar inverters in some household solar systems are installed with sunshades to reduce the temperature of the equipment. In addition, the installation environment of the solar inverter should be well shaded and ventilated to ensure air convection, which can also increase the power generation capacity of the power station.
3. Ensure that there are no weeds and obstructions around the power station. Due to the remote location of some ground power stations, they are often surrounded by lush weeds and vegetation, which will also affect the air flow and cause the temperature to be too high. The power generation would be reduced. Therefore, the daily inspection of the power station should be done in a timely manner, and the obstructions such as weeds and bird droppings should be removed in time.
4. .It is forbidden to spray water on the solar panels to cool down during the high temperature period. Some power station owners spray water continuously on the solar panels in summer to achieve cooling effect. Although the temperature of the solar panels is cooled to a certain extent, it is not known that there are certain security risks. If the power station is not properly insulated and grounded during design and installation, there may be a risk of electric shock. In addition, sprinkling water to cool down is equivalent to a "sun rain" that will reduce power generation.
